The List Auction, is it just another run-of-the-mill list building program? I have had the opportunity to actually use it and here is my review. But first allow me to start from the beginning?

When I was in Orlando attending Ken McArthurs JV Alert Live I met a real quite, almost timid individual named Michael Purvis, there is a picture of us together on my blog :)

Quite and timid is what I thought but within seconds I realized my first impression was WAY off! Mike and I have remained friends since and wow, that guy has some pretty amazing ideas. But ideas are just that… ideas… It takes action to turn an idea into a living, breathing entity…

One of the projects Mike was developing was something called The List Auction. He kept trying to explain it to me at JV Alert and one single thought kept popping up in my head, “Not another list building program where they promise the world but only build THEIR list and promote THEIR products!” No thanks… But since Mike had become a friend I said I’d check it out when it was completed. Guess what? He ended up emailing me with a link to The List Auction and told me to take it for a spin…

Eyebrow-raiser number one was I did not have to pay a penny for a basic level account. Eyebrow-raiser number two was even though upgrading my account to a paid one gave my ads greater exposure while building my list at a more rapid pace, it was not a must in order to get a bit of traffic to my site and make a sale or two. This will definitely help people earn the cash needed to upgrade by using The List Auction for free instead of strapping the bank account in hopes the program works.

You see I approached Michael’s system with as much skepticism as an average consumer who did not know Mike from Adam, so I started with a basic account. I watched the video tutorials and did everything they told me to do, no more no less. Surprisingly enough I saw a small fluctuation in traffic within a few weeks and actually made a sale from a site that had been void of traffic for months.

Months prior I had considered one of my sites a cyber wasteland and nearly let the domain name expire due to lack of interest. Then Mike approached me with the opportunity to test his system and I figured my dead site would be a perfect test subject since I knew for a fact any traffic going to that site was a direct result of The List Auction so I thought, “Game on Mike my friend!”

The List Auction is equipped with all of the same features as every other list building program out there, but do not allow that to frustrate you. Since Michael Purvis has a strong background in eBay he knows his stuff when it comes to auctions to say the least, and has harnessed that knowledge and applied it to The List Auction. When other programs just collect points The List Auction allows you to collect points and sell them in an auction-type atmosphere for real money.

As I upgraded my account I decided to test Mike and The List Auction and placed myself in the shoes of a newbie fresh to Internet marketing. Here is the frame of mind I put myself in, I had to remember that at one point in time I had no idea what was going on with online marketing and that is easy to forget as I grow.

  1. I know for a fact I need list…
  2. I know I will eventually need a product of my own to really begin making some serious cabbage in the crazy world of online marketing…
  3. I know for a fact I do not have the time or knowledge to create a product of my own at this point in time…
  4. And even if I did have the time what in the world would it be about…

Now this is where The List Auction begins to stand out from the rest. While other programs will not allow affiliate marketing The List Auction does, which tends to several different needs. People without a list or product can begin to make affiliate commissions and finally build a list for future promotions, all without a product of their own. Individuals with a product or service can promote their own stuff to fellow marketers and newbies alike. And once you become a member, because of the trememndous amount of activity going on with the free accounts, the visibility of your ads and your list size will begin to grow at a rapid pace. Mike and his program passed my first true test with flying colors, on to round two.

Now was the time to use my upgraded account to my advantage by implementing some of the more advanced marketing strategies to break Mike’s system, but what? Then it hit me like a ton of bricks… CPA offers! Hear me out…

Once an individual becomes a Gold Member they have the opportunity to submit one of their ads as a feature ad, which is on a rotation with other Gold Member ads and is shown to everyone who enters the system, not just people in your downline. I figured this was a perfect spot to place a CPA offer (Cost Per Action). When someone clicks my ad within The List Auction they will then be redirected to a CPA offer that requires an email submission. Once the visitor provides an email address I get paid for a completed action. As the campaign was being set up I realized The List Auction was not compatible with the tracking code of my CPA offer and the idea had to be dumped. I found the one flaw in Mike’s program and I will bet the ranch that he is already creating the CPA feature for his system as we speak. Believe it or not that is the only downfall I found.

In a nutshell The List Auction is definitely a program to look out for so head on over to Mike’s site and check it out for yourself because the only opinion that matters is yours.
