The Seesmic WordPress Plugin Is Fricken Awesome!
(correction in video: works with any internal or external webcam)
Before I give you the boring details about the background of Seesmic let me tell you why I love this WP plugin so much…
- We all know how powerful video is and this plugin makes it easier than ever to add it to all of your blog posts!
- If you have an external or internal webcam this plugin is perfect for plopping video in all of your posts!
- Simply click a link below the post you’re writing and a live video screen opens up right in front of you!
- As soon as you publish the video Seesmic will automatically add the code to your post!
A Little Background About Seesmic.com
Seesmic is a video blogging web application in alpha stage being developed by French entrepreneur Loic Le Meur to make video uploading easier for those using webcams. Seesmic made its debut at the Demo tech conference where it was called the “Twitter of video”, however conversations do not take place in real time.
LeMeur moved from Paris to San Francisco to launch Seesmic due to the perception that it would stand a better chance of success there. It is backed by a number of investors, the primary one being Atomico, a venture group that includes Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis, who sold Skype to eBay in 2005 for $2.6 billion.
On April 3, 2008, Seesmic announced that it had purchased Twhirl, an Adobe AIR based Twitter client.
How To Use The Seesmic WP Plugin
As soon as you’re ready to add a video to you blog post draft simply scroll down and look for the Seesmic Plugin that has a picture of a raccoon and click “Add a video to your post with“.

Once you click that link a little window will open up on your computer screen and you’re ready to record! Now the real cool thing about this plugin is if you record a shotty video you have the option to re-record it as many times as you like before the code to the video is automatically added to the post…

I hope this post helps you see the killer value in the Seesmic WP Plugin! If you’d like to download the plugin simply Click Here…
